HIRA-TO SCISSOR SHARPENER
A versatile machine
One of our specialised tools for hairdressers is the Hira-to Scissor Sharpener, manufactured by Wolff Industries of America.
This versatile machine allows us to sharpen a wide range of scissors, including hairdressing scissors and convex edge scissors, to the highest standards. Whether you're working with right-handed or left-handed scissors, we can sharpen them to precise angles ranging from 25 to 65 degrees.
To ensure optimal sharpening results, we follow a meticulous process. Each scissor is carefully disassembled, with screws and washers removed. The blades are then securely attached to the arm of the Hira-to machine, allowing us to set the exact sharpening angle required for your specific scissors. Using a series of sharpening discs graded from 9 microns to 80 microns, we finely hone each blade to achieve a razor-sharp edge.
After sharpening, the scissors are meticulously oiled, reassembled, and thoroughly tested to guarantee the sharpness and performance you demand.

The Bench Buffer plays a vital role in removing this burr, completing the sharpening process and leaving you with blades that are impeccably sharp and burr-free. Additionally, the machine's interchangeable wheels can be used to address corrosion, ensuring your blades are not only sharp but also in optimal condition.
Our commitment to providing hairdressers with exceptional results extends beyond sharpening alone.
We utilise the Bench Buffer, a versatile tool designed to polish and put a final finish on the products we have sharpened. Fitted with two soft cloth wheels, this machine allows us to achieve the desired finish for your blades, ensuring they are smooth and ready for action.
THE CORRU-GATOR
Cutting serrations into the toughest materials...
For hairdressers seeking additional versatility, we offer the Corru-gator, a tool used to put a corrugated (serrated) edge on the finger blade of the scissor.
This feature is particularly useful when cutting coarse hair that tends to slide away from the cutting edge. The Corru-gator, equipped with a fine tooth diamond wheel, is capable of cutting serrations into even the toughest materials, providing you with the cutting performance required for challenging hair textures. We often utilise the Corru-gator in conjunction with the "Twice as Sharp" machine to ensure precise serrations and exceptional cutting results.
